India’s renewable energy capacity rises to 220.1 GW; solar contributes 48%, 143.8 GW pipeline in place

A combined capacity of 143.8 GW in solar, wind, hybrid and storage projects is under implementation, expected to be commissioned over the next 4–5 years. An additional 66.1 GW of capacity is currently in the bidding phase.
