PowerGrid getting contract sans bidding process irks private companies

Electric Power Transmission Association director general Vijay Chibber said the private sector was keen on participating in the Leh project but the government awarded it under the regulated tariff mechanism (RTM) to PGCIL. The private companies feel PGCIL will get an automatic edge when Phase-II of the project is launched.
