Assam cabinet increases compensation to be paid by oil exploration companies for private land acquisition

Minister and cabinet spokesperson Pijush Hazarika said that different rates prevailed in different districts. “The cabinet has decided that hydrocarbon exploration companies including Oil India Limited (OIL) and ONGC will pay compensation in enhanced format.”
