INNOVATION: IIT Hyderabad develops low-cost, eco-friendly solar cells using 'kumkum dye'

The dye-sensitised solar cell is based on New Fuchsin dye with aqueous electrolyte and platinum-free counter electrodes, according to the research published in the Solar Energy journal.
