All new Metro stations of Bangalore Metro Rail to get solar panels

The usage of solar power is likely to reduce BMRCL’s dependence over BESCOM as the corporation pays around Rs 5 crore a month as electricity bill. It is likely that then the BMRCL won’t be under pressure to pass the burden on to the passengers.
