India to fill its strategic petroleum reserves with own money to make the most of cheap oil

The government wanted foreign producers to fill more oil in strategic reserves. It had also signed separate initial pacts with ADNOC and Saudi Aramco to explore filling up cavern at Padur but talks didn’t make much progress as foreign companies demanded more incentives.
