The spike in the international prices of natural gas triggered by Russia-Ukraine war, disruption in global supplies and its impact on cost of RLNG (regasified liquefied natural gas) sourced from the global market has multiplied the cost of gas sourcing for CGD entities.
Sales of Petrol surged 13.2 per cent to 2.65 million tonnes in September as compared to 2.34 million tonnes of consumption in the corresponding period of last year. Sales were 20.7 per cent higher than Covid-marred September 2020 and 23.3 per cent more than pre-pandemic September 2019.
